Vegan makeup is an area that I am very much new to. Iβve never purposefully invested in a brand before knowing that theyβre vegan but as so much animal cruelty comes to light through social media β Iβve really started to think about taking the time to work out which brands are CF and vegan, and which are not. With the amount of resources available in this day and age, why do some of my favourite beauty brands still insist on animal testing? I saw a post a few months back of how some gorgeous animals were being treated just to make my favourite mink lashes and I havenβt purchased a pair since. The thought makes me so angry and sad, Iβm not even a massive animal lover but I have a heart and itβs just horrible the lengths that some brands will go to purely to make money.
Itβs actually crazy how hard it is to find out which brands are vegan and which arenβt so Iβve put together a little list of some of my favourite ones that are. Some of the brands that I love that swear their makeup is 100% vegan, include Kat Von D, Anastasia Beverly Hills, Hourglass, Charlotte Tilbury, Lush, By Terry, Barry M, Glossier, Zoeva and the Balm, just to name a few!
These are all brands I absolutely love so it makes me very happy that theyβre all vegan and cruelty free, plus the fact that they all produce such amazing, beautiful products. It just shows that there really is no need to use animals in any shape or form to create good quality makeup. I really hope other brands follow suit soon.
